WELCOME TO STRICTLY ITALY

Nice to meet you! My name is Claudia, and I was born and raised in Cagliari, Italy. After living in the United States and the United Kingdom for 10 years, I decided to move back home.

I have been writing about travel since 2015, and I launched this site in July 2024 to show you the beauty of Italy, after having gained lots of blogging experience with My Adventures Across The World, my international travel blog, and Strictly Sardinia, which is entirely dedicated to my home region.

Promoting Italy beyond the obvious to international travelers is my mission, and I am constantly look for partnerships, projects and more. Read more about me here.

What’s Special About Me?

I am passionate about promoting Italy, its most famous places as well as its hidden gems.

But here’s a bit more about me:

• I worked in academia for 15 years – I completed a PhD in Law from the University of Essex and for about 15 years I taught at various universities in Europe and worked with NGOs. My research skills help me put together the best itineraries and travel tips.
• I am a certified travel designer, and I have been trained to create perfect, bespoke itineraries.
• I think Italy is often misunderstood, and there’s way more to it than the romantic version many get overseas.
• I love narrow cobbled alleys.

Throughout the years, my websites have proved to be a useful resource for anyone planning their trips, and I strive for Strictly Italy to be the same. I often receive comments and emails from readers who decided to visit a destination after having read about it on one of my sites, or who were inspired to try a product I recommended.

My blogs and the services connected to them are my full-time job, and the advertising and affiliate links on my sites are part of my brand and my source of income. I focus on quality over quantity and I do not wish to advertise products for the sake of money, or to get a free trip.

Strictly Italy does not publish press releases. I work hard on this and my other sites to deliver quality content that is free to access for everyone, and considering how much work I put into them, I do no wish to work in exchange of exposure, gear or a free trip.
