100% real and unique content.
As I launch Strictly Italy, my goal is to deliver you the best travel tips and hacks that will help you plan a trip to my beloved country, regardless on when and how you’d prefer to visit.
Through Strictly Italy, I wish to deliver the best content about all places in Italy to independent travelers who are planning a trip – whether it’s their first one, or just one of many. And if you still need help, you can count on my ready-made itineraries and even on my holiday planning services.
My Content Pillars
All the content you find on Strictly Italy is written by humans – AKA myself and every now and then my beloved sister Elisabetta, who is not a professional travel blogger (she has a regular job as a risk analyst) but has a real knack for travel, and writes beautifully. My sister and I write for other real travelers, and while so many others have made the switch to Artificial Intelligence (AI), we intend to keep delivering you with human-written content.
All articles you will find on Strictly Italy are based on my sister’s and my personal experience. We write only after having visited a destination, having tried an activity, slept at a hotel, tried the food – you get the idea. We are locals – we were born and raised in Cagliari, mom is from Sardinia and dad is from Viterbo, a small city north of Rome. This is where we currently live, and we explore locally on a regular basis.
I visit all the places you see mentioned on Strictly Italy on a regular basis (I lost count of how many times I have been to Florence, Bologna, Venice… and I have lived in Rome for a while too). I am a regular guests at the restaurants reviewed on this site; and I sleep at the hotels I write about. I pay out of my own pocket whenever I do that.
What you won’t find on Strictly Italy is AI content. While more and more travel sites are now outsourcing their content creation or using AI to write more, I only wish to write based on our experiences. I have come across many sites that deliver misleading or factually wrong information about Italy, and I certainly want to avoid that and, for as much as possible, I wish you to have correct, up-to-date information that helps you plan your trip.
Each article you find on Strictly Italy is the outcome of a trip to a new destination in Italy, or another visit to a place I love. It comes after I take a walk, a tour, see an attraction, eat at a restaurant and even spend a night or two at a hotel in person. My articles are the result of extensive research where I check for facts and make sure the content I deliver is accurate and on point. Our posts are updated on a regular basis too, so that you can count on useful information whenever you decide to plan your trip to Italy.
Reviews and Vetting
If you come across a review on Strictly Italy – the review of a tour, a hotel or a product – you can rest assured that I have tested it in person (oftentimes with my sister, so as to have a second and reliable opinion). I always – literally always – pay for anything I try and mention on this site. On the rare occasions on which I am gifted an experience or product and I decide to write about it, there will be a legal disclosure at the bottom of the article, so you will be informed.
Updating Content
Articles on Strictly Italy are updated on a regular basis – whenever I visit a place again, and as often as necessary. I do this to so that the content you read is accurate and relevant, the hotels and tours you wish to book still running (they often get deactivated!) and thus you have a smoother experience when planning your trip.
Corrections and Comments
You are welcome to comment on any of my posts, and of course you should contact me at [email protected] if you want to send me an update, if you spot a mistake, or if you want to share about your experience of a place or attraction in Italy. I check my emails on a regular basis, and I go through each comment I receive and always answer!
